Happy 2016! We’ve made it through the first full work week of the new year and so many new and exciting things are happening already, including some new TV shows. I finished the Maze Runner book series last night and I think my brain needs a detox from thinking while I try and process the whole book series. How about a few Friday Favorites?
It is safe to say the best Friday Favorite of the week is that the Tanner family hugs are back. Yes! We are under the two month countdown to Fuller House. My inner five year old gets more and more excited with every new news article about the show. While the show will most likely be incredibly cheesy I can’t wait to binge watch it the day it comes out. Just 7 more Fridays.
Just before Christmas a friend came over and told me “YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO SERIAL!” I listened to the first two episodes and was immediately hooked on it. Now that I have caught up for two weeks to episode four and it keeps getting more and more interesting. Last year I couldn’t understand what the fuss was all about, now I need to go back and listen to season one.
My favorite TV shows are (almost) all back on TV. Suddenly my “I don’t watch TV” mindset changed this week with Biggest Loser & Downton Abbey starting back up. Not to mention, conference season is finally here for college basketball! I haven’t decided how I feel about Biggest Loser this year. The entire show is different but at the same time it is still the same in many ways. Are you watching it? Has anyone checked out My Diet Is Better Than Yours yet?
More importantly, The Bachelor is back and he’s a guy from a small town in Indiana. Night one was crazy, did anyone else watch? Is it just me or did ABC bring in a lot more crazy than usual? I feel like MAYBE 3 or 4 of those girls were serious and the rest were there for the show. Can we skip to the final episode?
On a non TV related favorite. I came across Once A Gymnast: To The Sport That Used To Be My Whole Life. This is a wonderful piece written by a now former gymnast. I was not in gymnastics nearly as long as she was (nor was I even good) but it is such a wonderful sport. I couldn’t imagine how hard it would be to say goodbye in her shoes! Athletes in a number of different sports could relate.
Speaking of Gymnastics, Lauren from the Gymnternet put together an AWESOME article on Our First US Women’s Olympic Team. If you have any interest in gymnastics, the Olympics or any form of sports history I highly recommend checking it out. Our sport has changed so much over the last century.
Are you going to binge watch Fuller House when it comes out?
What TV Shows are you most excited to watch this spring?
Do you watch the Bachelor?
What are your Friday Favorites?
Oh my gosh, I had thought I heard something about the Full House thing. I don’t have Netflix, so we won’t be catching up. The Bachelor is just a train wreck of a show. I tried one season and could not get through an episode. I will stick to my Scandal and Bravo series for t.v. watching drama. LOL

Hahahaha! I used to hate bachelor and a friend got me hooked a few years ago. It’s so sad but sometimes so funny to watch! I am really excited about Fuller House though!
I have way too many TV shows I’m watching right now, it’s hard to keep track! I’ve been focusing on getting through New Girl and my bf and I have been watching The Americans.
Molly and Stacie
I have heard some good things about both of those! I will have to check them out!
I love Downton Abbey! Looking forward to a new season. I’m excited about Fuller House too.
The new season is good! I have to keep up with it this year! It took me until June to catch up last year.
I totally felt the sender way about The Bachelor this season. I’m convinced most of them are def. for show.
Yea the crazy just keeps getting worse each season. I feel bad for Ben, I think he’s the perfect bachelor!
I don’t watch many of the tv shows you talked about, but I will most certainly be binge watching Fuller House when it comes out!!

I hope you got caught up! We’re in for another good season!
I did watch the Bachelor and it was crazy! I can’t believe there are twins on it. I have twins myself, so it’s kinda funny to watch that type of situation. It’s definitely a guilty pleasure watching it. We also have Showtime free for the month, so I’m binge-watching as much as I can with shows like The Affair and Shameless.

I feel like Twins was a terrible idea for Ben but awesome for the drama! I can’t wait to see if they go together as a date!
I can’t wait for Fuller House. Right now, my kids LOVE to watch Full House. I hope it’s one we can all watch together!
I’m really excited for House of Cards and Orange is the New Black to return on Netflix!

That is awesome! I love that it is such a family show!
I really need to get on the Orange is the New Black train and catch up on House of Cards!
I can’t wait for Fuller House to start! I will be binge watching it for sure! I’m really excited to watch Telenovela and O.J Simpson Trial but we’ll see how they are! I’ve been watching Making a Murderer today on Netflix– YIKES is all I can say about that show.
I remember the OJ Simpson Trial from when I was a kid, it would be crazy to go back and watch it now!
I was so happy that Biggest Loser started up again. I cannot wait for Full House!
I’m liking the changes this season! It took me a couple of episodes to get into it but I think it’s going to be a good season!
Oh my gosh. I am so excited for Fuller House. I was the perfect age when Full House aired, and it was for sure my favorite show growing up… Not tooooo much longer to wait to check it out 😉
I feel like Fuller House is geared towards those of us who grew up with the Tanners! I cannot wait!
I cannot wait for Fuller House!

Me either! It will be good even if it’s not! haha
I will be watching Fuller House for sure! I hope it isn’t as corny as the original. But that show is so nostalgic of growing up for me too. I also started the Bachelor last week and look forward to watching it. I LOVE gymnastics and used to do it as a kid too. I will have to check that out thanks 🙂
